Humanity needs to feed into commissioning: targets could then be humanised. Informed humane commissioning would, in turn, influence the system. It was noted that there is a new DH initiative on quality: we hope to eplore with CEOs how commissioning could be influenced. It may be that 'Standards for better health’ will be swept away and we will have a new system.
