Why co-production?

Co-production is very important: see Charles Ledbetter’s work. Co-production is an iterative process; it needs consensus and trust, and authenticity among participants, as well as a genuine desire to work in true partnership.

As an example of the power of co-production of care by all stakeholders, see Ian Kramer’s ‘Measured Innovation’ story.

But we have to recognise that there can be fear in pulling down the barriers and in opening doors. All need preparation for it and to know that if something goes wrong, they start again; they don’t abandon it..
